Indus

Fick följande mail från skolan. Ibland undrar man hur det funkar i en Indisk hjärna?!?!?!?!

===================================================================

Dear Parents,

This communication has been necessitated by the school’s growing concern over the shenanigans of some of our senior school children during weekends of late. An Indus student is an Indus student even when he or she is at home or in a get together. The ethos of healthy, respectful living extends its jurisdiction beyond the classroom and the school premises.

To respect one’s own body and mind is a universal necessity, and to abuse either is self destructive. We know parents want the best for their children, and we share your concern. And therefore request you to be vigilant and proactive to ensure children don’t get into unwarranted situations or indulge in any sort of excess – specially during vacations and holidays where they are likely to let their hair down.

If any report of any Indus Student making a public nuisance of himself/herself reaches the school and the report is verified and substantiated, we shall be left with no choice but to ask the parent (s) to withdraw the child from Indus – because we cannot risk habits filtering down to other children.

Though the issue may be with a few, this mail is being sent to all – not necessarily because their children may be involved, but because the awareness will help them help their child’s friends as well. As they say, ‘prevention is better than cure’.

I hope this mail is taken in the spirit it is meant – we care, and therefore we’ve dared to take the liberty to counsel.

Wishing all your children a very pleasant vacation,

Sincere regards,

Shouquot Hussain
Vice Principal
Indus International School.
